Pardon  my english. Cet essai a été proposé en 2006 à CBC-VIEWPOINT. Ils ont refusé de le publier. Je suis en train de le traduire en français.

The nature of Man (Part 1)

Race, creed, culture, ethnicity, specificity, set us apart according to traditional views. If we  are governed and brainwashed by people who believe in those postulates (sic), – and we are, have always been – mankind is  unable to make any progress, social progress that is. The only type of progress  which mankind is badly in need of. For, as far as technology is concerned, anyone can master mechanical gestures given the right learning. Just as we readily adopt conventional ways of thinking. Most people need examples to be convinced; those are numerous. The French Canadians have picked up with the English Canadians, technologically speaking, in about one generation, thanks to the francophone world and also to their determination to overcome Great Britain rule and the domination of the Roman Catholic Church. India is scoring  high on information technology and other hio they-tech fields. This is due, I believe, to the secular Great Britain domination and to India's will to beat the British at their own game.Do they?
The Egyptians have erected monumental pyramids using their bare hands and handmade tools. Ditto the Aztecs and the Incas… What is the big deal with the Toronto Sky ?  How long is it going to last without expensive  maintenance. What is the big deal of demonstrating that one is able to reach to the Moon? We already know that it was theoretically feasible. What was the purpose of the two and only atomic abominations? President Roosevelt just wanted  to take revenge from the attack of  Pearl Harbor  by the Japanese, while he knew for sure that Stalin (1) and  the Red  Army (who scared to death those Nazi allies, the Japanese) were about to take over Tokyo using conventional arms? What was the purpose of the letter Roosevelt wrote to Einstein:" So, you are the Father of the bomb? "

1. Who took over Berlin? Il faut réhabiliter Stalin, even though those Teapartyers believe he was a bloody dictator.
